What about when people say comics are immature and they don’t read anything and think it’s so much better than reading books with pictures. It makes no sense to me. I love good stories that are told through all kinds of media though. The problem I have with TV is all the commercials, though it hasn’t caused me to stop watching all together.
The newspaper layout for this comic is cool looking.
Thanks, Blake. Yes, in the newspaper format you get the panels lining up diagonally a lot more.
You’re right, a good story is a good story and all media have something to add to a story. With TV, it’s the commercial nature of the medium in our society that’s at issue. The money that pays for your TV is paying for consumers who do NOT use imagination. It’s paying for consumers who follow instructions (marketing). This marks the medium, and affects the stories it tells!
Stand by, I’m going to post some new Comics Camper comics to the Do Comics, Not TV! program.
Right, you are, Colin — it’s not like it’s a choice between TV and COMICS and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE. I mean, maybe for some, but we need to remember that some people may want to pursue OTHER activities besides sitting at a desk drawing strange little pictures…
Hmmm, maybe we should call the series “DO EVERYTHING, NOT TV”?

But…but what would we do with all our free time if we didn’t watch TV?
Oh, right – EVERYTHING!
Also: Look at how much you fit into that compact newspaper edition space! AWESOME.
